[주요표현]

1) pay attention to : ~에 주목하다.

  <exercise> Please pay attention to the warning sign.

2) sooner ~ than expected : 예상보다 더 금방

    ~ than (it is) expected (it is가 생략된 표현)

  <exercise> The plane arrived sooner than expected

3) get down on ~ knee(s) 무릎을 꿇다

    ~ 청혼 등의 상황에서는 knee를 단수로 쓰면 됨(get down on one's (one) knee)

       ex) He got down on one knee for propose.

  <exercise> She got down on her knee, and start to praying.

[핵심단어]

wise : 현명한 

    cf) smart 똑똑한(wise와는 다른느낌) 

    clever : 영리한(약간 부정적 뉘앙스, 약삭빠른 느낌)

panic : 당황하다(과거형 : panicked ~ k가 들어가야함)

shelter : 주거지, 은신처

feed : 먹이다, 먹여살리다.

ask for : 도움을 청하다(request 보다 좀 약한 표현)

ask for : 도움을 청하다. -  request 보다 좀 약한 표현

offer / suggest / proposal 의 차이

1) offer : 제안하다, 제공하다. ; give something 무언가를 주려고 제안하는 행위

    ex) They offered a minimum price to us.

        We offered hIm a better position.

2) suggest : 제안하다, 제의하다

    ~ give some idea 즉흥적이거나 간단한 아이디어 제시

            ex) I suggest that we replace our old computers immediately

        Can you suggest what I should get her for birthday?

3) propose : 제의하다, 제안하다

    ~ suggest officially 미리 준비 혹은 정리한 것에 대한 깊이있는 제안(좀 더 공식적?)

      ex) He will propose a new plan at the meeting

  The government proposed changes to the voting system.
